SENATOR ENVERGA AWARDED THE 2018 MULTICULTURALISM AWARD
In memoriam of the late Senator Tobias Enverga Jr, the 2018 Champion of Multiculturalism Award was received by his wife, Rosemer Enverga. This award is given to distinctly recognize an individual for their outstanding dedication and service in Canadian multiculturalism. “As a former CMC-director and community leader, my husband was a strong supporter of the Canadian Multicultural Council (CMC) and has attended almost all of its events throughout the years. It is truly an honour to receive this award on his behalf. Senator Enverga will always be remembered as a Humble Public Servant, Champion of Multiculturalism and the Voice of Special Needs” said Rosemer during her acceptance speech.
The award was handed over on May 6th, 2018 during the Canadian Multicultural Council (CMC) 15th annual gala in celebration of Asian Heritage Month and to celebrate the CMC’s 20th Year Anniversary.
The Enverga family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the CMC President Norbu Tsering, Henry Lee, Joe Cheng and the CMC for this recognition.
