Senator Enverga congratulates new Salt Lake City bishop.

Senator Enverga was delighted to convey his congratulations to Auxiliary Bishop Oscar A. Solis of Los Angeles, who was recently named Bishop of Salt Lake City by Pope Francis.

Bishop Solis, originally from Nueva Ecija, Philippines, has been serving Los Angeles as Auxiliary Bishop since 2004. He has served at the Archdiocese of Manila and the Diocese of Cabanatuan, before coming to the United States in 1984.

Archbishop Christophe Pierre, apostolic nuncio to the United States made the announcement in Washington on January 10, 2017.
